What is the Expected Quality Grading of Your Cattle?

On average for the last year, grading for youthful cattle (less than 30 months of age) in Canada has been:

  • B (No Roll) = 2%
  • A (Select) = 2%
  • AA (Select) = 38%
  • AAA (Choice) = 56%
  • Prime = 2%

We expect that our own grading will be very similar. As we have indicated in our offer letters, we expect that more than 50% of our cattle will be grade AAA/Choice and fewer than 40% will be grade AA/Select. Approximately 5-7% of cattle will be grade B, A, and Prime.
